Well, although I didn’t really plan to make anything related to the E.U. referendum, I suddenly had this idea for a four-part referendum webcomic mini series (featuring the characters from my occasional “Damania” webcomic series – more of which can be seen on this page) a couple of weeks ago.
So, here’s the third comic. Yes, Harvey ended up being an undecided voter – this was mainly because I could very easily imagine him supporting either side with the same amount of passion.
Plus, if any of the dialogue sounds nonsensical, it’s because I had to reduce it quite a bit for pacing reasons (the comic was originally far too wordy), or to reduce unintentional irony (For example the voice-over in the third panel contained a line about Europe being ‘more cultured’ [which is why Harvey is talking about Proust and wine], which contradicted the presence of Sherlock Holmes and Shakespeare in the previous panel. Likewise, the other guy in the third panel also had a line of German dialogue too, which seemed a bit cliched). Still, I’ll include the uncut line art when I collect the entire series into one blog post tomorrow evening.
Stay tuned to see how Rox will vote at 12pm GMT/ 1pm BST tomorrow 🙂 And, if you haven’t voted by post already, make sure that you find your way to a polling station on the 23rd, regardless of which way you plan to vote.
