Well, today’s (heavily) digitally-edited painting is something a bit different. Since I was feeling somewhat uninspired, I ended up making this painting based on a memory of a car journey through Cowplain a couple of days earlier. Although I’ve seen the town quite a few times before, this time seemed dramatic enough to stick in my memory since, in the early evening, it kind of reminded me slightly of both a 1980s movie-style small American town and something from a hyper-realistic Studio Ghibli film.
Surprisingly, a quick look on Google Images after I made the painting seems to show that there don’t really seem to be any paintings of Cowplain out there. Plus, it also showed me that at least one of the buildings in my memory painting wasn’t as accurate as it should be.
As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.
