Today’s Art (23rd July 2014)

Well, I decided to make another painting of part of Brighton (based on some photos my mum took last month when she went there) and although I used a huge amount of artistic licence (and digital editing) in this painting, it really didn’t quite turn out as well as I hoped it would.

As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Today’s Art (22nd July 2014)

Well, I’ve been meaning to make some paintings of Brighton for a while (as kind of a spiritual successor to my “Aberystwyth Series” of paintings, since Brighton is my second-favourite town/city in the UK). And, luckily, when my mum visited there last month, she took quite a few photos which will probably be the source material for a couple of these Brighton paintings.

I’m not sure how many Brighton paintings I’ll make, but it’ll probably only be a few of them at the most (and it won’t be a fully-fledged series, like my Aberystwyth paintings were).

Today’s painting is of the North Lanes and the title is a line from a poem I tried to write when I visited a cafe on that street a little under five years ago.

As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.
