The Complete “Work In Progress” Line Art For My “Damania Reconstituted” Webcomic Mini Series

Well, in the traditional fashion, I thought that I’d show off the “work in progress” line art for my recent “Damania Reconstituted” webcomic mini series.

Since I used digital/photographic backgrounds for two of the comics, the line art for these comics will look a little bit odd (eg: a random collection of drawings and dialogue. I’ve also included the original background images too).

Surprisingly, there were relatively few dialogue changes between the line art and finished comics. The only one I can think of is the fact that the line art for this comic was originally going to have both characters exclaim “damn it!” and “bollocks!” upon seeing each other, but I thought it was funnier if they remained silent (with their reactions being shown via facial expressions). Likewise, the third comic includes typed background text that doesn’t appear in the line art too.

Anyway, here’s the line art 🙂 Enjoy 🙂

The Complete “Damania Reconstituted” – All Four “Episodes” Of The New Webcomic Mini Series By C. A. Brown

Well, in case you missed any of it, here are all four comics from my “Damania Reconstituted” webcomic mini series in one easy-to-read post 🙂 You can also find lots of other comics featuring these characters on this page too.

Although I’d originally just planned to post a single-panel comic titled “Wot? No comics?” this month because of worries about time (and, yes, ironically, realistic landscape paintings are quicker/easier to make than comics), I was determined that there would be a mini series posted here this month.

However, it ended up being another four-comic mini series – although it turned out better than the previous one 🙂 Seriously, the second comic in this current mini series still makes me laugh.

Plus, in a moment of either genius and/or pure laziness, I also worked out how to add photographic backgrounds to two of the comics in this mini series – which speeded up the comic-making process slightly (and provided some relief from the monotony of plain red and purple backgrounds too LOL!).

Anyway, here are the comics 🙂 Enjoy 🙂

You can click on each comic to see a larger version of it. All four comic updates are also released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Today’s Art (23rd February 2019)

Woo hoo! Here’s the fourth (and final) comic in my “Damania Reconstituted” webcomic mini series. Stay tuned for a full series retrospective later tonight 🙂 In the meantime, you can find lots of other comics on this page.

And, yes, this comic was another experiment with using digital backgrounds (in this case, a photo of the sea that I took a little under a decade ago.. wow.. has it been that long?).

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Woo hoo! I am very proud to present the third comic in “Damania Reconstituted”, a new webcomic mini series (you can find lots of other comics here too). You can catch up on previous comics in this mini series here: Comic One, Comic Two,

Although this will be another four-comic mini series for time reasons, I was determined that there will be some comics here this month 🙂 And, yes, this actually happened to me a few weeks before I made this comic (although I was able to remedy it by just re-playing “Doom II” and, my personal favourite, “The Plutonia Experiment” from “Final Doom”).

And, as for the second panel, Rox uses a ZDoom-style source port (with death text). Even though she still prefers the original DOS version, the idea of being able to jump in “Doom” is as awesome as it is deeply heretical.

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.
