Today’s Art (23rd May 2019)

Woo hoo! I’m very proud to present the fourth (and final) comic in “Damania Resuscitated” – this month’s four-comic webcomic mini series. Don’t worry if you missed any of it, I’ll post a full retrospective here later tonight. In the meantime, you can find links to lots of other webcomic mini series on this page.

And, yes, this comic was vaguely inspired by the trailers for the “Resident Evil 2” remake last year. I thought about adding some “Resident Evil” fan art to this comic, but decided to add some gothic cyberpunk art to the second panel instead because, dammit, I miss the days when I had the time etc.. to make this kind of art regularly.

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

The Complete “Work In Progress” Line Art For My “Damania Requirement” Webcomic Mini Series

Well, as usual, I thought that I’d show off the “work in progress” line art for my recent “Damania Requirement” webcomic mini series.

Like with the previous mini series, I experimented quite a bit with photo-based backgrounds in this mini series. As such, at least two of the pieces of line art here will look a little bit different (since they just contain character illustrations and dialogue. I’ve also included the background photo/image too).

As usual, you can click on each piece of line art to see a larger version of it. Enjoy 🙂

The Complete “Damania Requirement” – All Four ‘Episodes’ Of The New Webcomic Mini Series By C. A. Brown

Well, in case you missed any of it, I thought that I’d do my usual thing of collecting all four updates from my latest webcomic mini series (“Damania Requirement”) together in one easy-to-read post. You can also find loads of other comics featuring these characters on this page too.

Although this mini series was another short four-comic one (for time reasons), I had a lot of fun making it and it also allowed me to experiment more with using photo-based backgrounds (like in the previous mini series) too.

Interestingly, the order that these comics appeared here was significantly different to my original planned order for the series. This was mostly because I had a bit more time on the first evening I spent making these comics, so I wanted the most detailed comic (which involved more traditional art elements etc..) to be first. After this, I then ended up making a few more changes to the order.

So, if anyone is curious, the original planned order for this mini series was: “Game Police“, “Second Winter“, “Graveyard“, then “Own Goal“.

Anyway, here are the comics 🙂 Enjoy 🙂

As usual, all four comic updates are released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence. You can also click on each comic update to see a larger version of it.

Today’s Art (23rd March 2019)

Woo hoo! Here’s the fourth (and final) comic in my “Damania Requirement” webcomic mini series. Don’t worry if you missed any of it, I’ll post a full retrospective here later tonight. In the meantime, you can find lots of other comics featuring these characters here.

And, yes, this comic was inspired by the “Mini Beast From The East” snowstorms last March. And the photo in the background is a digitally-edited segment from a photo of Hambledon that I took shortly after this.

Today’s Art (22nd March 2019)

Woo hoo! I am very proud to present the third comic in “Damania Requirement”, this month’s four-comic webcomic mini series 🙂 You can also find lots of other comics featuring these characters on this page too 🙂

And, yes, I find all of the fuss about “walking simulators” to be a bit silly. I mean, one of the coolest gaming experiences I had in 2017 was when I played the classic point and click game “Riven” for the first time and just spent a while wandering around and exploring the game’s fascinating world. Then I got stuck on the puzzles and couldn’t progress.

If anyone is puzzled about the “retro”-style photos in the first three panels, they’re digitally-edited photos of some stairs near Tipner Lake that I took last April. And, yes, I’ve turned two of them into digitally-edited paintings (which can be seen here and here)

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Woo hoo! I am very proud to present the second comic in “Damania Requirement”, this month’s four-comic webcomic mini series 🙂 You can also find lots of other comics featuring these characters on this page too 🙂

And, yes, I’ll be experimenting with photo-based backgrounds again in several of the comics in this mini series. The photo in the background of this one is a digitally-edited detail from a photo I took of a graveyard last March.

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Today’s Art (20th March 2019)

Woo hoo! I am very proud to present the first comic in “Damania Requirement”, this month’s four-comic webcomic mini series 🙂 You can also find lots of other comics featuring these characters on this page too 🙂

This satirical comic update was inspired by an episode of a popular British early-evening magazine show that aired last April. Whilst the episode actually made a valid point that I agreed with (eg: plastic pollution in the oceans is a bad thing), the way that this episode got this point across was so obnoxiously smug, self-righteous, preachy, manipulative, emotive, sanctimonious etc.. that I actually found that my views were temporarily less environmentalist for a few hours after watching it. Even though I agreed with the general point of the episode.

As usual, this comic update is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence etc…
