NEVER SEEN BEFORE! More Sketches, Lineart And Doodles From My Sketchbooks!

2015 Artwork sketchbooks December sketch

Well, I was running slightly behind schedule with today’s article so, instead, I thought that I’d show you a few more random sketches, doodles and lineart from my sketchbooks.

Sorry about this, hopefully I’ll write a proper article or review for tomorrow (possibly a review, since I’m planning to review, or at least write a “first impressions” article about this “Doom” WAD soon).

Anyway, enjoy 🙂

This is the "never seen before" line art for a still life painting that I posted here a couple of weeks ago.

These were the plans for page four of the comic that I posted here shortly before Halloween. And, yes, my French grammar is atrocious! This page also contains a title graphic for an article I was writing at the time too.

NEVER SEEN BEFORE! More Failed Paintings And Doodles From My Sketchbooks

2015 Artwork sketchbooks September sketch

Well, I was running slightly late with everything – so, for today, I thought that I’d show off some more failed paintings (most of which never got past the drawing stage) and random doodles from my sketchbooks. Hopefully, I’ll write a proper article or review for tomorrow.

Anyway, in the meantime, enjoy this “Never seen before” look at some of my failed artwork and random scribbles:

This was going to be a random gothic cartoon, but I ended up abandoning it both because I was in an unenthusiastic mood at the time and because I was worried that I'd got the French grammar wrong.

This is a painting that I'd originally made for one of my daily art posts. But I ended up making another painting for that day instead because this painting was so badly-drawn, that it actually looked kind of creepy.

This was originally going to be a memory painting of part of my old school but, well, it looked almost as boring as the real thing was - so, I ended up abandoning it.

This was my failed first attempt at making a painting called "View Over The Gate" that I posted on here on the 5th September.

This was my initial plan for re-making one of my old pictures from 2012 called "Mystery Hand Over Aberystwyth". The final version of my re-make (posted here at the very beginning of this month) ended up using a different perspective to the one shown in this drawing.

More NEVER SEEN BEFORE Doodles From My Sketchbooks

2015 Artwork August sketchbooks article sketch

Well, it’s been quite a while since I made a sketchbook post. So, I thought that I’d take a slight break from writing articles today and show you four of the random doodles that occasionally appear in my sketchbooks. Anyway, enjoy 🙂

This is a random sketch called "The Bureau Of Wordless Novels" that ended up inspiring a more detailed drawing (of the same name) that I posted here late last month. I'm not sure why one of the books in this drawing has a German title (it should translate to "rubbish", I think). But it seemed like a cool idea at the time.

This was a little sketch that I made in preparation for making a larger painting. Although I abandoned the painting, this little sketch looks a lot better than my unfinished painting did.

More Random “Never Seen Before” Doodles And Abandoned Stuff From My Sketchbooks

2015 Artwork sketchbooks July sketch 2

Well, although I’d planned to write a proper article for today – I was kind of tired at the time of writing. So, instead, here’s some more random doodles and unfinished paintings from my sketchbooks.

These were some fairly elaborate doodles I drew when I was trying to think of ideas for articles recently.

This was a failed attempt at a cynical cartoon I'd planned to make about the UK election in May. Not only did I forget to include enough space for one of the main parties (sorry Plaid Cymru), but I was also worried that the cartoon would be too trite, too controverisal, too cynical etc... So, I ended up abandoning it.

This was an abandoned painting from a few months ago. I can't remember exactly why I abandoned this painting, but it was probably going to be something set in the 1990s.

Yay! Here’s more random stuff from my sketchbooks!

Well, I’d originally planned to write a proper article for today (about Chekov’s gun). But, well, this failed miserably.

Never Seen Before! Failed Paintings And Sketchbook Doodles

2015 Artwork May sketchbooks article 2 sketch

Well, although I’d planned to write a proper article for today, I unfortunately ended up being in a rather terrible mood beforehand. So, as you may have guessed, I couldn’t quite work up the enthusiasm to write a proper article.

So, instead, here are a couple of “never seen before” watercolour paintings that I thought weren’t quite good enough to post here in one of my daily art posts. Plus, there’s a random badly-drawn fan art drawing of one of the cultists from an old computer game called “Blood” and an attempt at graphite painting too.

Sorry about this and hopefully I’ll write a proper article and/or review for tomorrow.

Anyway, enjoy 🙂

This was a fairly crappy landscape painting I made when I felt extremely uninspired. It was originally going to be posted in one of my daily art posts, but thankfully I made a better painting instead.

This was a still life painting of some of the random old stuff on one of my desk shelves. It was originally going to be featured in one of my daily art posts, but I wasn't really satisfied with it and ended up making another painting instead.

Another “Never Seen Before” Look Inside My Sketchbooks

2015 Artwork May sketchbooks article sketch

Well, I couldn’t quite muster up the inspiration or even the enthusiasm to write a proper article for today. So, instead, I thought that I’d give you another “never seen before” look into the bizarre world of my sketchbooks.

Hopefully, I’ll think of a good idea for a proper article and/or review for tomorrow. But, in the meantime, enjoy these random pictures from my sketchbooks 🙂
