Today’s Art (7th January 2016)

Well, I was kind of in a slight rush, so I thought that I’d make a still life painting of this awesome little glass/plastic skull that I’d been meaning to paint. I used a lot of artistic licence for the background, so I’ve probably got some of the lighting on the pedestal wrong.

As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

Today’s Art (9th October 2014)

Although it took me longer to make this digitally-edited painting than I expected, I’m kind of glad that I’ve gone back to making new stuff again rather than just re-making more of my old art again.

As usual, this painting is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

“Aberystwyth Series” – The Next Painting :)

I’m very proud to announce that I’ve made another painting in my “Aberystwyth Series” 🙂

Well, I felt like making another painting of Alexandra Road (based on another old photo) and I’m quite proud of how “Aberystwyth – Alexandra Road Again” turned out, even if it ended up being very purple. Hold on, that isn’t a bad thing, purple is an absolutely awesome colour…

Today’s Art (17th December 2013)

Well, I’ve decided to move to a slightly smaller drawing size (about half the size of my normal drawings) at least temporarily for time/energy reasons. Hopefully this means that I’ll be able to keep on putting out two new drawing every day rather than dredging up some of my old art to use as filler…..

As usual, these two drawings are released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence.

A Saying Improved” is a drawing about one of my favourite drinks. I’m genuinely astonished at how well this drawing turned out (it almost looks professional), since I made it extremely quickly.

Amethyst Pools” started out as an attempt at practicing drawing reflections, but there ended up being next to no reflections in the actual drawing.

Also, whilst I like the idea behind this drawing and the character and the setting – the quality of this drawing wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be and it only really looks good when it’s viewed at about a quarter of it’s actual size (eg: like it’s presented here, unless you click on it to view it in full size)
